Why would any reasonable person choose to travel with Clover’s Revenge to Ireland.

We asked a few travelers for their thoughts on the matter, and while they’re not what you’d call ‘reasonable,’ they’re definitely ‘people’ and they are actually pretty cool.

Here are some thoughts from our fans regarding traveling with us overseas:

“I traveled with the band for the new experiences. I think I definitely got to hang out with the band more than in the US.” – Addie

“I travel with the band for the fun and the experience of a new country. Hanging out with the band is a lot of fun.” – Sandy

“Traveling with Clover’s Revenge is not just a trip, it’s an experience that stays with you long after you leave Ireland. What sets it apart immediately is the band themselves. They are completely present and available to every guest.” – Mike

We should be transparent about this: We’ve all had old friends join the trip. Like John’s childhood buddy Joel, and Mike, Beau’s bestie from college, with whom the boys broke stupidity records. Or Sarah, a dear friend of Zach’s, who honestly, has exceptional judgement and is kindhearted and thoughtful.  Our trips have featured the kinds of adventurous lunatics who had never actually heard the band before signing up to travel with the band in Ireland (or Scotland), attend performances and generally be cultural ambassadors. We’re looking at you, Michigan sisters, and you, Minnesota twins. Also keeping an eye on Mark, our faithful bus bartender, who signed himself and Jamie up before ever coming to see us at the Irish Pub on 4th St. Also you, Danny from Alaska. And you Jules. Also, a quick thank you to Mark for the delicious whiskey. Many of our fans make new friends, either with other travelers or locals themselves.

“One of my favorite moments was drinking with some of the locals in Belfast at the Robinson. ” – Addie

“I have made friends that I keep in touch with both here in Florida and around the country.” – Sandy

“Some of the best moments, honestly, happened in between the conversations on the bus, the shared laughs, and the relationships that naturally formed along the way. Those friendships didn’t end when the trip did. They’ve remained meaningful and lasting, which again goes back to that sense of family that Clover’s Revenge creates so effortlessly.” – Mike

With an intrepid group on the bus, it’s no surprise that we’ve all made new and unlikely friendships. We all have had our shared musical experiences, some of which were pretty humbling. For example, Beau got asked if he knew Irish music, while sitting at a session at Taafe’s Pub on Shop St. in Galway.  Here’s the thing: while you’re traveling with the band, you’re basically in the band. So, experiencing the highs and lows together gives each of us the chance to take our own lessons and impressions away. These voyages that we take together yield strange fruit: we’ve cried at the magnitude and weight of history and tragedy, we’ve reveled in the enormity of a moment or in occasional fuzzy drunkenness. These shared experiences become the bond we share, once we’re back home.

Mike summed it up perfectly: “If you are considering traveling with Clover’s Revenge, don’t hesitate. This is not just a well organized tour it’s a deeply personal, immersive experience led by people who genuinely care about every single person on the trip. You will leave with incredible memories, a deeper appreciation for Ireland, and relationships that continue long after you return home. It is, without question, one of the most rewarding travel experiences we have ever had.”
